Congratulations and welcome Early Decision accepted students! We are excited to have you join us in the fall here at RISD! There are many things to look forward to, and this page will continue to be updated with more information.
You will be able to choose your housing starting on January 3, 2012 via the Housing Portal.
To help you get started on your transition to RISD we’ve compiled a list of things for you to think about and do before you arrive:
Important RISD Account Information: Once you have received notice that it has been activated, please access your RISD Account: This account gives you access to many services on campus including RISD Google Apps for Education and WebAdvisor. Your RISD Account will be activated 2 weeks after matriculation.
- Change your RISD Account Password and set up your security questions @ pwchange.risd.edu
- Check your RISD Email @ mail.risd.edu
- Visit WebAdvisor to register your emergency contact information @ wa.risd.edu
- Having problems accessing your RISD Account? Contact the Help Desk @ 401.454.6106 or helpdesk@risd.edu
- For more information about your RISD Account please visit the Student Campus Computing website.
Here are some other important steps to take before you arrive:
- Be sure to check out your options for housing on the first year housing page and submit your housing application by June 1st!
- The 2012-2013 Student Health Form is now available, and should be filled out immediately. This form is mandated by the Rhode Island State Government and is required for all students enrolled at RISD.
- Review the RISD Policies + Disclosures.
- Request disability support services through the Student Development and Counseling Services Office by calling 401.454.6637 or visiting the Student Development and Counseling website for more information.
